AMVESCAP LAUNCHES ATLANTIC TRUST AS PRIVATE WEALTH BRAND
Adds Atlantic Trust Brand to North American Platform Pell Rudman;
Extends European Services with New Off Shore Trust Capability

New York, February 4, 2002 – The private wealth management division of AMVESCAP, a leading independent global investment manager, today announced Atlantic Trust as its new global brand, and has re-named its North American operations platform Atlantic Trust Pell Rudman. The Division has approximately $10 billion (£7 billion) in assets under management, and combines Pell Rudman’s tradition of superior client service and results with the global investment strengths and proven track record of AMVESCAP, the company said.

In August 2001, AMVESCAP’s Private Wealth Management division, headquartered in New York and led by Chairman and CEO Donald J. Herrema, acquired Boston-based Pell Rudman to serve as the foundation of its North American business and as the model for a personalized solutions-based approach to services for high net worth individuals and families. Pell Rudman’s management, investment, and client relationship teams will remain in place under the Atlantic Trust Pell Rudman brand and the firm will continue to have its home office in Boston.

Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management also announced that a London-based unit of AMVESCAP – known as INVESCO Private Portfolio Management Limited – would become part of its operations. Formerly part of INVESCO Global, INVESCO Private Portfolio Management manages approximately $2.5 billion (£1.7 billion) in assets for private investors, trustees of smaller pension funds, and charities.

Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management also expects to welcome several new investment professionals across its US and European offices in the coming months.
