S. Mark Powell
Managing Director
Mark Powell is head of Atlantic Trust’s Austin office and has been instrumental in building a strong presence in Texas since he joined the firm in 2002. In addition to his regional development responsibilities, Mark works to provide clients with pooled expertise on behalf of our dedicated interdisciplinary team of advisors. He has more than 25 years of experience in economic analysis and the securities markets, with specific expertise in fixed income portfolio management. Mark serves on the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee (AAC) and on the Fixed Income Sub-Committee of the AAC. Before joining Atlantic Trust, Mark was most recently a managing director with Morgan Keegan & Company. In this role, he led Morgan’s asset management efforts in Texas, including the acquisition of Hester Capital Management in 1997. Earlier in his career, Mark developed investment policy and strategy for clients of Capitol Securities, a regional institutional fixed income firm headquartered in Austin. As a partner at Capitol, he was instrumental in leading the firm’s expansion into new products, services and markets, which ultimately led to its acquisition by Morgan Keegan in 1993. An avid golfer, Mark’s mentor was his father, Boone Powell, Jr., retired CEO of Baylor Health Care System in Dallas. Mark is actively involved with numerous charitable and civic activities including Dell Children’s Medical Center, where he is a trustee and member of the Investment Committee, a board member of The First Tee of Greater Austin, the Chancellor of the Exchequer for the Knights of the Symphony and a member of the Greater Austin Executive Committee of Young Life. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Baylor University in 1981.

Suzy V. Conley
Senior Vice President
Suzy Conley is a relationship manager in the Austin office, where she works directly with client families and their related interests to achieve their wealth management objectives. Her responsibilities include helping clients integrate their asset allocation and investment strategies with their tax, estate and charitable giving strategies. Suzy has 16 years of industry experience and has particular expertise in both risk management and advising entrepreneurs on their concentrated equity holdings. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2004, Suzy served as assistant director of principal gifts for Stanford University’s Office of Development. From 1998 to 2003, she was an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in San Francisco. Suzy began her career at Goldman Sachs & Co., where she worked as a financial analyst in the Investment Banking Division in New York and Los Angeles. Suzy earned a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics cum laude from Colgate University.

J. Craig Falls
Senior Vice President
Craig Falls is a relationship manager in the Austin office of Atlantic Trust. As an attorney and member of the firm's Wealth Strategies Group, Craig works directly with clients to develop customized investment strategies, estate plans, and wealth management solutions – all fully integrated to meet the unique needs of each client. Craig has over 15 years of experience working with wealthy families, business owners, entrepreneurs, and foundations in addressing their wealth management needs. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Craig was a founding partner of Falls Smith LLP, a Texas law firm focused on serving clients in the resolution of complex business and personal financial matters. Previously, Craig worked with Goldman Sachs & Co. in the private wealth management division and with an international law firm in Dallas. Craig earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas Tech University, where he was the top graduate of the business school. Craig has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a listing of attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Mark E. Frazier, CFA
Associate Vice President
Mark Frazier is an associate relationship manager in Atlantic Trust’s Austin office with over ten years of investment industry experience. In this role, he works closely with senior relationship managers providing customized wealth management strategies to high net worth clients. His responsibilities include analyzing client objectives and developing investment strategies, implementing asset allocation and investment strategies in client portfolios and presenting client portfolio reviews. Before joining the firm, Mark worked as an equity research associate with Brandes Investment Partners, an independent investment management firm. Prior to this research role, he worked in institutional portfolio management and private client services at Brandes. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Washington State University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Amie Hershberger
Associate
Amie is a client service administrator in the Austin office. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2005, she worked as an executive assistant to the director of government affairs at Constellation NewEnergy. Amie earned a Bachelor of Arts in government from the University of Texas at Austin and a elementary education certification.

LaVern Z. Peña
Associate Vice President
LaVern Peña is a client service manager responsible for the opening and ongoing daily account administration for the Austin office. LaVern joined Atlantic Trust in 2004, bringing many years of experience administering personal trusts and investment management accounts. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, she was an assistant vice president at Wells Fargo Private Client Services and held positions as a trust officer and new accounts trust team manager. She began her career in financial management in 1996, when she joined the team at Frost Financial Management. LaVern earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management cum laude from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.

Siddharth Raghuraman
Associate
Sid Raghurman is an investment analyst who works closely with senior professionals to provide high quality service to clients. His responsibilities include thorough asset allocation analysis, modeling and compiling quarterly performance data, and the management of client reporting books and presentation materials. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2009, Sid attended the University of Texas in Austin and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a Bachelor of Science in political science. He is a CFA level II candidate.
