Linda S. Beerman
Chief Fiduciary and Risk Officer
Linda Beerman serves as the chief fiduciary and risk officer for the firm as well as manager of Atlantic Trust’s Wealth Strategies group. With 31 years of experience in the financial services industry, Linda manages client estate and wealth planning and has oversight responsibility for policy and procedures through the Trust and Risk Management Committees. Before joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, Linda was the manager of estate and financial planning for Wachovia's Trust Department, which she joined in 1978. Linda received her Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and a Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association and has served on the Trust Drafting Committee of the North Carolina General Statutes Commission and as a member of the adjunct faculty of Wake Forest University School of Law. In addition, Linda is a member of the Wake Forest University and Forsyth Country Day School Planned Giving Advisory Councils and has served on the Forsyth Country Day School Board of Trustees.

Alison "Ali" Dohrman Bradway
Senior Vice President
Alison "Ali" Dohrman Bradway is head of human resources for Atlantic Trust and is responsible for the strategic oversight of human resources, payroll and office administration duties for the firm. In this role Ali is the senior liaison for Atlantic Trust senior management with Invesco for all human resources matters. She is also leading a global Invesco initiative for greater integration of HR policies, practices and procedures across our organization worldwide. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2002, Ali served as a senior financial and management analyst within the client strategy group for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management Division. With over 11 years of industry experience, she began her career in investment management in 1998 working with Homrich & Berg, an Atlanta-based financial planning firm. Additionally, Ali is very active in the Atlanta community supporting the Atlanta Women's Foundation, the Shepherd Catastrophic Care Center, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the local Atlanta arts organizations, among others. She earned her bachelor of science with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Florida, and her master of business administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Carolyn J. Collins
Senior Vice President
Carolyn Collins is the director of marketing for Atlantic Trust. In this role, she leads a team of professionals to provide sales and marketing solutions, as well as internal and external communications, for Atlantic Trust's 11 locations in major cities across the United States. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Carolyn was development associate for the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Inc., the fundraising arm of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. In this role, she worked with high net-worth contributors and raised funds for a major athletic facilities campaign. Carolyn studied in Oxford University's summer program while earning a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude with honors in English, and she earned a Master of Business administration at the Yale School of Management. She represents Yale SOM on the board of the Atlanta Business School Alliance, serves in the Circle of Friends for GoGirlsGo! of the Women's Sports Foundation and volunteers with the Atlanta Youth Academy.

Wayne K. DeWitt, Jr.
Managing Director
Wayne DeWitt is general counsel for Atlantic Trust Company, N.A. and Atlantic Trust Group, Inc., handling legal and regulatory matters for the firm. He has 15 years of industry experience and has served in various positions with Invesco from 1999, when he joined the firm, to 2006, including general counsel of Invesco Retirement, Inc. and Invesco National Trust Company. Wayne previously served as in-house corporate/securities counsel for Vanstar Corporation from 1996-1999 and Eastman Chemical Company from 1993-1995. He also worked as an associate at the law firm of Alston & Bird from 1988-1993, specializing in banking, securities and general corporate law. Wayne earned his bachelor of arts in government from the University of Virginia, graduating with highest distinction, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

John S. Markwalter, Jr.
Senior Managing Director, Invesco
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Atlantic Trust
Jack Markwalter is chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Trust and Invesco National Trust Company. He is a senior managing director of Invesco and serves as a member of Invesco's Executive Management Committee. Additionally, Jack's role at Invesco has expanded and he now leads Invesco's U.S. Institutional Sales, Client Service and Consulting team. He joined Atlantic Trust in 2002 as head of business development and became CEO in 2004, brining more than 23 years of experience in the private client and investment industry to the firm. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Jack served as managing director and national director of the client strategy group for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Jack earned a Bachelor of Science with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Jack serves in various leadership roles for many community organizations. Among other positions, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Tech Foundation, the Board of Trustees for Pace Academy, the Board of Directors for St. Joseph's Hospital Mercy Foundation, and he serves as chairman for his Harvard Business School Reunion Fund Campaign.

Scott A. Trapani, CFA
Chief Compliance Officer
For Scott Trapani, compliance should neither follow nor lead, but partner with the rest of Atlantic Trust so the firm can grow while maintaining its strong internal culture of compliance. As the Chief Compliance Officer with 25 years of industry experience, he oversees compliance activities across the trust, collective funds and registered investment advisor companies. Scott is a member of the Atlantic Trust Leadership Council. He joined Atlantic Trust from SunTrust Bank, where he served as Group Vice President of Credit Risk Analytics and Portfolio Management. Previously, Scott was the Vice President and Chief Risk Regulatory Officer for GE Capital's international bank holding company in Stamford, Conn. He earned the GE Capital Pinnacle Award in 2005 for his role as the Chief Risk Officer for GE's international bank holding company. In addition, he worked at KPMG Consulting as a senior resident advisor to the central banks of Poland, Moldova and Ukraine. Scott began his career as an FDIC field examiner and later led the offsite analytical unit for the FDIC's San Francisco regional office. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Professional Risk Manager's International Association. Scott earned a bachelor of arts from Arizona State University.

Barry N. Berlin, CFA
Managing Director
Barry Berlin is a senior relationship and portfolio manager with 31 years of experience assisting high-net-worth families and their related interests. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, Barry spent more than 18 years in a similar capacity with Wachovia Bank, most recently in their Offitbank subsidiary that serves wealthy clients. He established Wachovia's Capital Management presence in Atlanta in 1988 and has been active in a variety of civic and professional endeavors. Barry earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1982, and served on the governing body's Council of Examiners from 1984 to 1988. He has also held Leadership roles with the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts for several years and served as its president from 1998 to 1999. Barry earned a bachelor of science in commerce from the University of Virginia and a master of business administration from Northwestern University. He was also a three-time Jeopardy champion in 1998.

W. Scott Thompson, III
Managing Director
Scott Thompson is an investment professional and client relationship manager with 15 years of industry experience. In this role he works with clients and their advisors to develop and implement financial and estate plans, as well as investment and asset allocation strategies. He is also a member of the firm's Trust and Discretionary Distribution Committees. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, Scott was a senior manager in the high-net-worth division of Wachovia Bank. Prior to joining Wachovia, Scott was a portfolio manager and trust officer with Virginia Commonwealth Trust Company. Scott earned his bachelor of arts in finance at James Madison University and is a graduate of the Southeastern Trust School of Campbell University and the ABA National Graduate Trust School. Additionally, he is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.

Leah M. Afanador
Vice President
Leah Afanador is a client service manager who joined Atlantic Trust in 2004 and is responsible for the opening and ongoing daily account administration for the Atlanta office. In this role she works closely with relationship managers providing comprehensive client service and fiduciary oversight of personal accounts and trusts. Prior to joining the firm she was a sales assistant for the Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Atlanta. Leah earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Clemson University and is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute's trust school. She is also a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.

Julia M. Beisel
Senior Vice President
Julia Beisel is a client service manager with 17 years experience in the management and administration of personal trust and investment management accounts. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2002, Julia was a relationship manager and trust officer at Reliance Trust Company, where she was responsible for managing $70 million in accounts. Previously, she was an administrative manager with Wachovia Bank Personal Trust and Capital Management Group. Currently, Julia serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Synchronicity Performance Group, an Atlanta based performing arts group. Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in elementary education from Birmingham-Southern College.

Duncan M. Edwards
Senior Associate
Duncan Edwards is an analyst that joined Atlantic Trusts Atlanta office in 2007. In this role, he works with senior relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service as well as thorough reporting on client accounts. Previous to joining Atlantic Trust in 2007, Duncan worked as an operations and planning analyst at Vineyard Vines and earned a bachelors of business administration from Emory Universitys Goizueta Business School. Duncan serves on the junior board for Waterside School, whose mission is to provide underserved children with opportunities for personal and educational excellence. Also, he volunteers with the Big Brother program in Atlanta.

Charles R. Hoke, CFA

Charles Hoke is a portfolio and relationship manager with 15 years experience helping high-net-worth families and their related interests with their wealth management objectives. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2006, Charles served as a vice president with Credit Suisse First Boston's Private Wealth Management Division. From 1998 to 2002, Charles was an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Atlanta. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Charles worked as an associate with Homrich & Berg, an Atlanta based fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm. He began his career in wealth management in 1993 with Trust Department of SunTrust Bank. Charles is a member of the CFA Institute, the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts and serves as a member and Secretary of the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Finance Committee. He earned his bachelor of arts in finance magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, and his master of business administration with honors from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

Victoria "Tori" G. Hood
Senior Associate
Tori Hood is a client service administrator in Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office. In this position, she works closely with relationship managers providing comprehensive client service and ongoing account administration. Prior to transitioning into this role, Tori served as the executive assistant to Jack Markwalter, chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Trust. Tori earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Tori is an active volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society.

Judy C. Justice
Associate Vice President
As a senior marketing associate, Judy Justice works to manage, update and distribute marketing materials, working closely together with professionals across Atlantic Trust. In this role, she completes quarterly updates of investment performance, coordinates and executes the design of sponsorship materials and event invitations, and oversees the production of investment and wealth strategies white papers. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, she spent nine years working with sales and marketing for Invesco Institutional, Atlantic Trust’s sister company. Previously, she spent eight years as an office manager at Garlock Inc. Judy volunteers with Stingray Allstars Cheerleading by actively participating in community projects and fundraising events.

Richard F. (Fair) Tomlinson
Senior Associate
Fair Tomlinson is an analyst who works closely with senior professionals to provide comprehensive service and reporting to clients. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2007, Fair worked as a project manager for Blue Ridge Radiation Oncology and a services specialist with Planters Inn, one of the world's top 100 hotels. Fair earned a bachelor of science with a concentration in finance from Mary Washington college and is an active volunteer with the Atlanta Humane Society.

Stephen T. Mahan
Head of Americas Equity Trading
Steve Mahan is head of the Americas Equity Trading Desk, which is Invesco's Atlanta-based, multi-disciplinary trading hub that provides Atlantic Trust's relationship and portfolio managers with access to efficient and effective trading resources, global liquidity and investment research. Steve is also the senior trader for the Consumer Staples / Discretionary sector. He began his career in the industry as a registered representative with Olde Discount Brokerage in 1994 and joined Invesco Aim in 1995 as a listed trader. Steve received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee (ITAC) and holds a Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Linda N. Tran
Senior Trader
Linda Tran is the dedicated senior trader for Atlantic Trust on the Americas Equity Trading Desk, which is Invesco's Atlanta-based, multi-disciplinary trading hub that provides Atlantic Trust's relationship and portfolio managers with access to efficient and effective trading resources, global liquidity and investment research. Linda is also the senior trader for the Industrials sector. She has been working with Invesco for 11 years, starting in 1998 as a trading intern. Linda received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
