Investment Selection

A Quality Bias

While "getting the asset allocation right" will be an important determinant of your long-term investment success, manager selection is also critical. At Atlantic Trust, we don't believe that we have a monopoly on investment expertise. To the contrary, there are excellent investment managers in every discipline, and we view our job as harnessing that expertise for your benefit.

When implementing your investment strategy, we generally use a combination of investment offerings—some of which are managed internally by Atlantic Trust or our affiliates and some of which are managed externally by unaffiliated third-party managers. We do not emphasize one over the other. The result is that you have access to a comprehensive array of high-quality investment expertise in every asset class, regardless of your mix of internally- and externally-managed strategies.
