Andrew G. Nichols
Managing Director
Andrew Nichols is a senior relationship manager and head of Atlantic Trust's Baltimore office, with more than 37 years of experience helping high net worth families with their wealth management and fiduciary needs. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1997, Andrew spent 15 years at the Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company, where he headed The Family Office Group. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University, a Master of Science in Administration from Georgia College and a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University. Andrew is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, the AJC Planned Giving Round Table and a past member of The Walters Art Museum Planned Giving Advisory Council.
Roseanna M. Ritmiller
Senior Vice President
Rose Ritmiller is a senior client service manager in Atlantic Trust’s Baltimore office, with more than 45 years of experience in the investment management and financial services industry. She has spent the majority of her career working in trust departments, where she has held management positions in Trust Operations, Trust Administrations, Trust Compliance and Institutional Custodial Services. Before joining Atlantic Trust in 1996, she spent 30 years with Maryland National Bank. During her tenure there, she managed several conversion projects including multiple trust systems, capital budget and payroll. Her last three years with the bank were spent as director of Payroll Services, where she was responsible for a global payroll of 20 companies. She has completed the Cannon Trust School's three-year program.
Kyle W. Marotta
Vice President
Kyle Marotta is an associate relationship manager in Atlantic Trust’s Baltimore office. In this role, he works on client investment portfolios by analyzing financial needs, setting objectives and determining risk tolerance in order to create an appropriate asset allocation and investment plan. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he was a staff accountant at Bond Beebe Accountants and Advisors. Kyle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from McDaniel College and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from The Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland. Kyle is a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council and volunteers as a supervisor for VITA, a national IRS income tax assistance program.
Crystal L. Herring
Associate Vice President
Crystal Herring is a senior client service manager in the Baltimore office of Atlantic Trust. In this role, she works closely with relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service and fiduciary oversight. She is also responsible for the daily account administration of both trust and personal accounts for high net worth individuals and families. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2007, Crystal worked as an operations manager at Bond Business. Crystal is currently earning a trust certificate from the Cannon Financial Institute.
David L. Donabedian, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Dave Donabedian is chief investment officer of Atlantic Trust, returning to the firm in 2009 after serving as chief investment officer for Ashbridge Investment Management, LLC from 2006 to 2009. As a leading investment expert in our industry, Dave frequently appears on television networks, including CNBC, Bloomberg Television and FOX Business News, and provides insights in publications such as Barron’s and The Wall Street Journal. Previously—from 1996 to 2006—Dave worked with Atlantic Trust for 10 years as managing director and chief economist, serving as a key member of our firm’s Asset Allocation and Multi-Manager and Investment Policy committees and leading our Baltimore and Washington, D.C. offices. Since leaving our firm to become CIO at Ashbridge, Dave expanded his experience, establishing and implementing broad investment policy across the firm, including policy development, asset allocation and manager selection. He also served as chairman of Ashbridge’s Investment Committee. Dave received a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business with a concentration in finance and money markets. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
