Barry N. Berlin, CFA
Managing Director
Barry Berlin is a senior relationship manager and serves as head of Atlantic Trust's Atlanta office, with more than 30 years of experience assisting high net worth families and their related interests. He works directly with clients to develop and implement customized investment and wealth management strategies. His responsibilities include helping clients integrate their asset allocation and investment strategies with their tax, estate and charitable giving strategies. Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Barry spent 18 years in a similar role with Wachovia Bank, working entirely in subsidiaries serving wealthy families, foundations and endowments. After relocating in 1987, Barry established Wachovia's wealth management presence in Atlanta in 1988. He has been active in a variety of civic and professional endeavors, frequently in leadership roles. Barry is currently a trustee for the Woodruff Arts Center's Governing Board and serves as chairman of the center's Investment Committee. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1982 and served on the governing body's Council of Examiners from 1984 to 1988. Barry also served as president of the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts from 1998 to 1999. Barry earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University. He was also a three-time Jeopardy champion in 1998.
Charles R. Hoke, CFA

Charles Hoke is a portfolio and senior relationship manager with more than 18 years of experience helping high net worth families achieve their wealth management objectives. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2006, Charles served as a vice president with Credit Suisse First Boston's Private Wealth Management Division. From 1998 to 2002, Charles was an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Atlanta. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Charles worked as an associate with Homrich & Berg, an Atlanta-based, fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm. He began his career in wealth management in 1993 with the trust department of SunTrust Bank. Charles holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and he is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts. He is secretary of the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Finance Committee and serves on the board for Gamma Inc. Charles earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration with honors from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
W. Scott Thompson, III

Scott Thompson is an investment professional and senior client relationship manager with more than 17 years of industry experience. In this role, he works with clients and their advisors to develop and implement financial and estate plans, as well as investment and asset allocation strategies. He is also a member of the firm’s Trust and Discretionary Distribution committees. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, Scott was a senior manager in the high net worth division of Wachovia Bank. Prior to joining Wachovia, Scott was a portfolio manager and trust officer with Virginia Commonwealth Trust Company. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in finance from James Madison University and is a graduate of the Southeastern Trust School of Campbell University and the ABA National Graduate Trust School. Additionally, he is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Leah M. (Afanador) Caracheo
Vice President
Leah Caracheo is a senior client service manager with Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office. In this role, Leah is responsible for the opening and ongoing daily account administration for the Atlanta office and works closely with relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service and fiduciary oversight of personal accounts and trusts. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, she was a sales assistant for the Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Atlanta. Leah earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Clemson University and is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute’s trust school. She is also a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Whitacre Mansfield

Whit Mansfield is a client service manager in Atlantic Trust's Atlanta office, with more than 13 years of industry experience. In this role, he works closely with relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service and fiduciary oversight of personal accounts and trusts. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he was a trust team manager with Wells Fargo for five years. Previously, he was an account administrator in the Endowment and Foundations group at SunTrust Bank. He is actively involved with the finance committee at Northside Methodist Church. Whit received a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in business administration from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC., and he is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute's trust school.
Duncan M. Edwards
Associate Vice President
Duncan Edwards serves as a senior client analyst in Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office. In this role, he works with senior relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service as well as thorough reporting on client accounts. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2007, Duncan worked as an operations and planning analyst at Vineyard Vines. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and is currently pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst certification. Duncan serves on the junior board for Waterside School, whose mission is to provide underserved children with opportunities for personal and educational excellence. He is also a volunteer with the Big Brother program in Atlanta.
Victoria "Tori" G. Hood

Tori Hood is a client service manager in Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office. In this role, she works closely with relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service and ongoing account administration. Prior to transitioning into this role, Tori served as the executive assistant to Jack Markwalter, chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Trust. Tori earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in sociology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Tori is an active volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society.
Kelly D. Daniels

Kelly Daniels is a client analyst in Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office. In this role, she works closely with relationship managers and client service managers providing comprehensive client service, including family office assistance and detailed investment reporting. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, she worked in sales at Legg Mason and in financial research with a small money management firm. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Katherine Simmons is a client service associate in Atlantic Trust's Atlanta office. In this role, she works closely with relationship managers to provide comprehensive client service and administration of accounts for high net worth individuals, families and foundations. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Katherine was a wealth management senior support associate with SG Financial Advisors, supporting client communications, client investment portfolios and firm-wide compliance regulations. Previously, she was an account manager and adjuster with Amica Mutual Insurance Company. Katherine earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in finance from Auburn University in Alabama.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Atlantic Trust
Jack Markwalter is chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Trust, the private wealth management division of Atlanta-based Invesco, as well as chairman and chief executive officer of Invesco National Trust Company. He is a senior managing director of Invesco and serves as a member of Invesco's Executive Management Committee. He joined Atlantic Trust in 2002 as head of business development and has more than 26 years of experience in the private client and investment industry. From 2008 to 2010, Jack also served as head of Invesco's U.S. Institutional Sales, Client Service and Consultant Relations. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Jack served as managing director and national director of the client strategy group for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Jack earned a Bachelor of Science with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Jack serves in various leadership roles for many community organizations. Among other positions, he is a member of the board of trustees for the Georgia Tech Foundation, the board of directors for Jacob’s Ladder, the board of directors for St. Joseph's Hospital Mercy Foundation and the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He serves as chairman for his Harvard Business School Reunion Fund Campaign and is a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Capital Campaign Committee.
Linda S. Beerman
Chief Fiduciary Officer
Linda Beerman serves as the chief fiduciary officer for the firm as well as head of Atlantic Trust's Wealth Strategies Group. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Linda manages client estate and wealth planning and has oversight responsibility for policy and procedures through the Trust and Risk Management committees. Before joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, Linda was the manager of estate and financial planning for Wachovia's Trust Department, which she joined in 1978. Linda received a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and a Juris Doctorate from the Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association and has served on the Trust Drafting Committee of the North Carolina General Statutes Commission and as a member of the adjunct faculty of the Wake Forest University School of Law. In addition, Linda is a member of the Wake Forest University and Forsyth Country Day School Planned Giving Advisory councils and has served on the Forsyth Country Day School Board of Trustees.
Julia M. Beisel
Director of Client Service Administration
Julia Beisel is director of client service administration, with more than 20 years of experience in the management and administration of personal trust and investment management accounts. In this role, Julia works with client service administrators throughout the firm to assess and improve daily account management processes and procedures, helping Atlantic Trust provide the highest quality client experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Julia was a relationship manager and trust officer at Reliance Trust Company, where she was responsible for managing $70 million in accounts. Previously, she was an administrative manager with Wachovia Bank Personal Trust and Capital Management Group. Julia serves on Invesco’s Atlanta Corporate Giving Committee and is the former chairman of the board of directors for Synchronicity Performance Group, an Atlanta-based performing arts group. Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in elementary education from Birmingham-Southern College.
Wayne K. DeWitt, Jr.
Managing Director
Wayne DeWitt is general counsel for Atlantic Trust Company and Atlantic Trust Group, Inc., handling legal and regulatory matters for the firm. He has more than 20 years of industry experience and has served in various positions with Invesco, including general counsel of Invesco Retirement, Inc. and Invesco National Trust Company, from 1999 to 2006, when he moved to Atlantic Trust. Wayne served as in-house corporate/securities counsel for Vanstar Corporation from 1996-1999 and Eastman Chemical Company from 1993-1995. He also worked as an associate at the law firm of Alston & Bird from 1988-1993, specializing in banking, securities and general corporate law. Wayne earned a Bachelor of Arts in government from the University of Virginia, graduating with highest distinction, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
Carolyn C. Donnelly

Carolyn Donnelly is the director of marketing and strategic priorities for Atlantic Trust. In this role, she leads a team of professionals to provide business development and marketing solutions, as well as internal and external communications, for Atlantic Trust's offices in 11 major cities across the United States. She serves as a member of the firm's Operating Committee and is responsible for defining the firm's key priorities and driving related firm-wide initiatives. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2005, Carolyn was development associate for the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Inc., the fund-raising arm of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. In this role, she worked with high net worth contributors and raised funds for a major athletic facilities campaign. Carolyn studied in Oxford University's summer program while earning a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude with honors in English. She also earned a Master of Business Administration at the Yale School of Management (SOM), where she was recognized as a Dean's Scholar. Carolyn represents Yale SOM on the board of the Atlanta Business School Alliance and, in 2011, she launched and chaired the Invesco Cares, Atlanta committee, which organizes and directs Invesco's local contributions and volunteer activities. In 2012, she launched and serves as chair for the new global Invesco Cares committee.
Jeanine M. Parker
Head of Human Resources
Jeanine Parker is head of human resources for Invesco’s institutional businesses, including Atlantic Trust. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic oversight of human resources for her client groups and consults with management to align human capital with business objectives. Prior to joining Invesco in 2010, Jeanine was a senior vice president in human resources with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, leading human resources teams to support diverse client groups such as private wealth management, commercial real estate, capital markets and institutional asset management. Jeanine is active in a variety of church and community activities in Avondale Estates, Georgia. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson School of Business.
Stephen T. Mahan
Head of Americas Equity Trading
Steve Mahan is head of the Americas Equity Trading Desk, which is Invesco's Atlanta-based, multi-disciplinary trading hub that provides Atlantic Trust's relationship and portfolio managers with access to efficient and effective trading resources, global liquidity and investment research. Steve is also the senior trader for the Consumer Staples/Discretionary sector. He began his career in the industry as a registered representative with Olde Discount Brokerage in 1994 and joined Invesco Aim in 1995 as a listed trader. Steve received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee (ITAC).
Linda N. Tran
Senior Trader
Linda Tran is the dedicated senior trader for Atlantic Trust on the Americas Equity Trading Desk, which is Invesco's Atlanta-based, multi-disciplinary trading hub that provides Atlantic Trust's relationship and portfolio managers with access to efficient and effective trading resources, global liquidity and investment research. Linda is also the senior trader for the Industrials sector. She began her career with Invesco in 1998 as a trading intern. Linda received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in finance from the University of St. Thomas.
