John S. Markwalter, Jr. (Jack)

Jack Markwalter is president and chief executive officer of Atlantic Trust, the wealth management division of Atlanta-based Invesco, as well as chairman and chief executive officer of Invesco National Trust Company. He is a senior managing director of Invesco and serves as a member of Invesco’s Executive Management Committee. In March of 2008, Jack took on an additional role leading Invesco Worldwide Institutional’s U.S. Sales, Marketing and Client Service team. In this role, Jack is responsible for growing the respected institutional business, and he manages the day-to-day operations of Invesco’s private equity fund of funds business, where he works closely with Wilbur Ross, founder of WL Ross & Co. and chairman of Invesco Private Capital. He joined Atlantic Trust in 2002 as head of business development and has more than 20 years of experience in the private client and investment industry. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Jack served as managing director and national director of the client strategy group for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Jack earned a Bachelor of Science with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Jack serves in various leadership roles for many community organizations. Among other positions, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Tech Foundation, the Board of Trustees for Pace Academy, the Board of Directors for St. Joseph’s Hospital Mercy Foundation, and he serves as chairman for his Harvard Business School Reunion Fund Campaign.

Jeffrey S. Thomas, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
As chief investment officer, Jeff Thomas oversees investment strategy and asset allocation for all client portfolios. He is an Invesco Managing Director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Prior to joining the firm in 1986, Jeff held senior positions at Scudder, Stevens & Clark, and New England Merchants Bank. He began his career as an Investment Officer at The Northern Trust Company. Jeff is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, a past member of the Bank Analysts Association of Boston, and former president of the Boston Media Analysts Group. He has served as trustee and chairman of the Finance Committee of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and is currently a director of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation. He was also a board member for The Winsor School and is a member of the board of the Handel and Haydn Society. Jeff graduated from Miami University, earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago, and holds the CFA® designation.

Kenneth J. Kozanda
Chief Administrative Officer
Ken Kozanda serves as chief administrative officer and is a member of Atlantic Trust’s Executive Management Committee. He also serves as an Invesco managing director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. With over 25 years of financial management experience, Ken is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the firm. Previously, Ken was on the board of managers and served as the chief operating and chief financial officer of Stein Roe Investment Counsel LLC, prior to its acquisition by Invesco. He has also served as director of financial analysis for GATX Corporation, where he was charged with the management of multiple financial disciplines including budgeting, financial and capital expenditure analysis, and internal reporting. He began his career as a staff accountant with Arthur Andersen & Company. Ken earned a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration magna cum laude from DePaul University. Additionally, Ken has earned the Certified Public Accountant designation.

Edward I. Rudman
Retired Senior Partner
Ed Rudman was Co-Founder and Chairman of Pell Rudman prior to its acquisition by Invesco in 2001, when he was named Senior Partner and the firm was renamed Atlantic Trust. Ed retired October 31, 2006, and still remains a close friend and advisor to the firm. Ed is recognized as a leader in the field of wealth management, beginning his career practicing law in New York City, where he specialized in tax and employee benefit planning. After serving in a variety of senior positions at Laird Capital Management and Estabrook Capital Management, Ed was named President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boston Company Financial Strategies, Inc., a subsidiary of The Boston Company that catered to the needs of wealthy entrepreneurs. He founded Atlantic Trust with Tony Pell in 1980 and has served as a trustee and valued advisor to many families. In this role, Ed has been an overseer of clients’ investments, an advisor on the sale of family businesses and other illiquid assets, and an advisor on tax strategies and philanthropic activities. He is committed to the community and has maintained a strong presence with area organizations. Ed is a director of several corporations and a member of the Babson College Corp. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beth Israel Hospital, and is now a member of the Board of Directors of CareGroup, Inc. and a Trustee Emeritus of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is also a Trustee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Board of Directors of Give Kids the World Foundation in Orlando, Florida. Ed received a BA from Boston University, a JD from Boston College Law School, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

Patricia A. Bannan, CFA
Managing Director
Patricia Bannan is a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for co-managing the Large Core Growth Portfolio. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2007 Patricia was with Evergreen Investments where she managed large core portfolios for the mutual fund and wealth channels and was head of the Large Cap Core Growth Team. She began her career in 1982 at Phoenix Investment Counsel where she served in analytical, portfolio management and leadership roles. Her experience has been centered on the analysis and portfolio management of large cap quality companies serving the mutual fund, institutional and wealth management arenas. She has also held senior portfolio management positions at Prudential Investments and CGU Investments. Patricia graduated from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Business Administration with an economics concentration. In addition, she holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Sharon M. Barnes
Managing Director
Sharon Barnes is a Senior Relationship Manager in the Baltimore Office with 30 years experience helping high net worth families and their foundations achieve their wealth management objectives. As the investment specialist for these relationships, she works closely with clients to analyze their financial needs, objectives and risk tolerance in order to determine an appropriate asset allocation and implement the investment plan. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Sharon spent 20 years as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Group Head in the Private Wealth Management division of Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company where she managed over $425 million for high net worth individuals. Sharon is a graduate of Towson University with a BS in Business Administration.

Michael S. Battey
Managing Director
Michael Battey is a senior relationship manager and head of the Atlantic Trust San Francisco office. In this role, he is responsible for managing a team of investment and marketing professionals and their support staff. Michael also is an Invesco director. During his 18 years of investment management experience, Michael has overseen a broad range of client portfolios, including pension and profit sharing plans, endowment funds, charitable and religious organizations, individual, trust, and other taxable investment portfolios. Previously, Michael opened and was head of the San Francisco office for DLJ Asset Management Group and spent nearly ten years in various senior leadership positions at Bessemer Trust, culminating in opening and running Bessemer’s San Francisco office and overseeing its Los Angeles office. Prior to that, Michael was an executive recruiter with Russell Reynolds Associates, focusing on asset management and private equity searches and a credit analyst and lending officer at Bankers Trust Company and the Chemical Bank focusing on the energy, financial institution and utility sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College and is a graduate of the National Trust School at Northwestern University. Additionally, he is a member of the executive committee and investment committee chairman at the St. Francis Foundation in San Francisco, a member of the endowment investment committee at St. John’s Church, a member of the Ross School District financial advisory committee, and an active alumni fundraiser for Deerfield Academy.

Linda S. Beerman
Managing Director
Linda Beerman is the director of fiduciary services and wealth strategies. In addition to client estate planning and review of fiduciary accounts, Linda has oversight responsibility for policy and procedures of the trust management committee. Linda also is a member of Atlantic Trust’s Executive Management Committee, an Invesco senior director, and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Before joining Atlantic Trust, Linda was manager of estate and financial planning for Wachovia’s Trust Department, which she joined in 1978. Linda received her Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and a Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and has served on the Trust Drafting Committee of the North Carolina General Statutes Commission and as a member of the adjunct faculty of Wake Forest University School of Law. Linda is a member of the Wake Forest University and Forsyth Country Day School Planned Giving Advisory Councils and has served on the Forsyth Country Day School Board of Trustees.

Barry N. Berlin, CFA
Managing Director
Barry Berlin is a senior relationship and portfolio manager with more than 25 years of experience assisting high-net-worth families and their related interests. Barry also is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Barry spent more than 18 years in a similar capacity with Wachovia Bank, most recently in their Offitbank subsidiary that serves wealthy clients. He established Wachovia’s Capital Management presence in Atlanta in 1988, and has been active in a variety of civic and professional endeavors. Barry earned his CFA® designation in 1982, and served on the governing body’s Council of Examiners from 1984 to 1988. He has also held Leadership roles with the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts for several years and served as its president from 1998 to 1999. Barry earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University. He was also a three-time Jeopardy champion in 1998.

Francis S. (Skip) Branin, Jr.
Managing Director
Skip Branin is a Senior Portfolio Manager with Atlantic Trust, formerly Stein Roe Investment Counsel (SRIC). Skip joined Atlantic Trust in 2002 with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, Skip served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Brundage, Story & Rose, LLC, which was subsequently acquired by Bessemer Trust in 2000. He also served as an Investment Manager and Investment Research Officer with J&W Seligman & Co. Skip began his career in investment management as a Research Analyst with Harris Upham & Co. Among other positions, he currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, Vice Chair of the Board of Monmouth Medical Center Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of Glen Raven Inc. and Governor of Sea Bright Beach Club. Skip earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Graduate School of Management.

H. Scott Caven, Jr.
Managing Director
Scott Caven is a managing and regional director based in the Houston office. Additionally, he is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Scott’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s client service and new business efforts for the Texas region. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Scott has held a number of positions with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Dallas and Houston areas, including vice president and regional manager for Houston, South Texas, and Mexico. Scott serves as chairman of the board of regents of the University of Texas System and was previously chairman of the board of directors of the University of Texas Investment Management Co. (UTIMCO), a $24 billion dollar university system endowment fund. Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Texas School of Law.

Jeffrey N. Coe
Managing Director
Jeff Coe is a Senior Relationship Manager with over 20 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Jeff was a Managing Director with Whitehall Asset Management where he was responsible for managing portfolios for individual and institutional clients and was a member of the firm's Investment Policy Committee. Before joining Whitehall, Jeff was a Managing Director at Delphi Asset Management and a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Campbell Advisors, Inc. Additionally, Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the investment committee at The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, New York. Jeff earned a BA in Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA from Columbia University.

Sharon E. Cohen, CFP®
Managing Director
Sharon Cohen joined the firm in 1993 and is a Senior Client Relationship Manager. In this capacity, Sharon advises clients on topics ranging from portfolio asset allocation to the coordination of sophisticated estate and charitable planning strategies with investment objectives. She works closely with each client’s outside advisors and oversees the allocation to, and review of, third-party managers as well. Sharon is licensed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. She also serves on the Advisory Board to The Commonwealth Institute. A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Masters in Taxation from Villanova University Law School, Sharon began her career as a Financial Analyst with Wilmington Trust Company in Wilmington, Delaware.

J. Haywood Davis
Managing Director
As a Business Development Professional, Haywood Davis is responsible for working closely with experts throughout the firm to create wealth management solutions for new clients, ensuring that all their investment and planning needs are met. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Haywood spent 30 years with JP Morgan, most recently as head of their Southeast private banking business. He also has extensive experience working with multinational corporate clients with expertise in Latin America. Haywood is very active in various community organizations throughout the Southeast, having served as a Trustee of The William R. Kenan Charitable Trust located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and currently serving as a Trustee of Brookgreen Gardens located in Pawley's Island, South Carolina. He serves as Director of various Kenan Funds and is a member of the Woodberry Forest School Investment Committee in Virginia. Additionally, he is on the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina and the Kenan Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, NC. Haywood earned a BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and an MBA from Columbia University.

Wayne K. DeWitt, Jr.
Managing Director
Wayne is general counsel for Atlantic Trust Company, N.A. and Atlantic Trust Group, Inc., handling legal and regulatory matters for the firm. He also is a member of Atlantic Trust’s Executive Management Committee, an Invesco senior director, and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. He has served in various positions with Invesco from 1999 to 2006, including general counsel of Invesco Retirement, Inc. and Invesco National Trust Company. Wayne previously served as in-house corporate/securities counsel for Vanstar Corporation from 1996-1999 and Eastman Chemical Company from 1993-1995. He also worked as an associate at the law firm of Alston & Bird from 1988-1993, specializing in banking, securities, and general corporate law. Wayne earned his Bachelor of Arts in government from the University of Virginia, graduating with highest distinction, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Alan S. Fields
Managing Director
Alan Fields is a senior portfolio and client relationship manager responsible for helping individuals, families, foundations, and endowments define their financial and investment goals and implement strategies to reach them. He is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Most recently, Alan served as chairman of the private client group at Harbor Capital Management, a company he founded in 1979. Previously, he served as an officer and portfolio manager with Phoenix Investment Counsel of Boston. Prior to joining Phoenix, Alan was a portfolio manager with Hornblower Asset Management. He began his career as a research analyst with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. Alan is an active member of the Boston Community, where he is director of the Josiah W. Hayden Recreational Centre, trustee of the Town of Lexington Retirement Fund, and chairman of the trustees of Public Trusts in Lexington. Additionally, Alan is a member of the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations and serves on the investment committees of Wellesley College, the Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Town of Lexington Pension Fund. Alan also is a member of Atlantic Trust’s Asset Allocation Committee, as well as the firm’s Multi-Manager Investment Team. He received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he currently serves as a director of the UNC-Chapel Hill Center for Jewish Studies and member of the Board of Visitors.

Lisa M. Garcia
Managing Director
Lisa is the chief risk officer and director of administration for Atlantic Trust, as well as an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Lisa is responsible for the organization’s risk management function and centralized oversight of client service activities. Previously, she was ATC’s director of tax and a member of the fiduciary services team. Prior to joining ATC, Lisa served as manager of client services at Loring, Wolcott, & Coolidge, where she was charged with enhancing the firm’s infrastructure and was responsible for the daily management of the trust administration and gift teams. Previously, Lisa was a principal in the charitable gifts office of State Street Global Advisors and served in various capacities at Mellon Private Wealth Management, including as a vice president and manager of the fiduciary tax department and team leader for the planned giving and wholesale trust departments. Lisa is also a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Manhattan College and both a Master of Science in taxation and Master of Business Administration in business ethics with distinction from Bentley College.

Richard A. Havey, CFA
Managing Director
Dick Havey is a senior investment professional and relationship manager with strong experience in equity analysis, as well as money market, fixed-income, and balanced portfolio management. He is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Dick joined Atlantic Trust in 1999, coming from Norwest Investment Management & Trust. At Norwest, Dick was a senior portfolio manager for nearly 15 years. He began his career with Marine Bank, serving as a portfolio manager and equity analyst. Dick is a past president and director of the CFA® Society of Colorado and a member of the CFA® Institute. He earned his Bachelor of Science in finance at the University of Illinois at Champaign and is a CFA® charterholder.

Jon E. Henderson, CFA®, CIC
Managing Director
Jon Henderson is a team executive with Atlantic Trust and serves as an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. He is responsible for the supervision of client portfolios, including pension and profit sharing plans, endowment funds, charitable and religious organizations, individuals trusts, and foundations. Additionally, Jon serves as co-manager of the firm's Chicago office. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from DePaul University, where he was elected to the Pi Gamma Mu Social Sciences Honor Society. He also earned a Juris Doctorate from DePaul Law School and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Jon holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Investment Counselor designations. Among other organizations, Jon is a member of the Illinois Bar, Investment Analyst Society of Chicago, CFA® Institute, and the Investment Advisors Association.

Jonathan K. Kadish, CFP®, ChFC®
Managing Director
Jonathan Kadish is a Senior Relationship Manager and Portfolio Manager based in New York, and is the Chief Trust Officer for the New York Office. He is also an Associate Partner of Invesco. Jonathan provides a broad range of sophisticated wealth management services to high-net-worth clients throughout the country and internationally. Jonathan joined Atlantic Trust in 2003, and has twenty-two years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Jonathan served as a Senior Vice President and Client Account Manager at Bessemer Trust Company, where he was responsible for advising clients on wealth, financial, tax, estate planning, investment and asset allocation strategies. Jonathan earned a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Employee Benefits Trust and Graduate Trust School, as well as Cannon Personal Trust and Personal Graduate Trust School. He also completed the College for Financial Planning certification professional education program, and The American College course program for Chartered Financial Consultants. He has earned designations as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant ®, a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, a Certified Retirement Services Professional, and a Certified IRA Services Professional. Jonathan serves on Atlantic Trust’s Trust Committee, Discretionary Distribution and Loan Committee, and is a member of the Wealth Strategies Group, where he advises clients and internal professionals on matters regarding trusts, financial and retirement planning issues. Jonathan also is a member of the American Bankers Association, and the Financial Planning Association of NY/NJ.

Bruce D. Katz, CFP®
Managing Director
Bruce Katz is a Managing Director with Atlantic Trust, formerly Stein Roe Investment Counsel (SRIC). He is responsible for business development, sales and marketing across all channels including individuals, institutions, financial planners, consultants and other intermediaries. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Bruce served as a First Vice President for Avatar Associates and Director of The Capital Management Group, a division dedicated to high net worth individuals, institutions and their financial professionals. He was also a member of Avatar’s Investment Committee. Previously, Bruce served as a Vice President with Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, Inc., a subsidiary of Paine Webber, Inc. Bruce was recently appointed as an Invesco Associate Partner because of his demonstrations of leadership, exemplary performance and client focus. He earned his BS in Accounting and Finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Bruce holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

Marc Keller
Managing Director
Marc Keller is a senior relationship manager with over 27 years of investment experience. He also is an Invesco senior director and is a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Most recently, Marc served as the president and CIO of Whitehall Asset Management, where he was responsible for all of the investment activities and operations of the firm. Prior to joining Whitehall, he was founder of Delphi Asset Management, which was acquired by IBJ Whitehall Bank and Trust in 1998. Marc also has held positions as an investment advisor and vice president of Mitchell Hutchins and as a vice president at Kuhn Loeb. Marc earned a Biomedical Engineer from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Stanford University.

Craig H. Lambdin, CFA

Craig Lambdin is a Senior Portfolio Manager with Atlantic Trust and an Associate Partner of Invesco. He joined Atlantic Trust in 1995 from The Bank of New York where he served as a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for managing portfolios for individual and institutional clients. Previously, Craig served as an Investment Associate with Brundage, Story and Rose Investment Counsel where his responsibilities included portfolio management and research analysis. Craig began his career in 1980 as an Investment Officer with First Fidelity Bancorporation. He earned a BA in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from New York University. Craig also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Investment Counselor designations. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.

Andrew J. Lang, CFA
Managing Director
Andrew Lang is the managing director of Atlantic Trust’s Newport Beach office, with over 22 years of investment experience. He serves as a senior portfolio/relationship manager for family office clients, is responsible for managing client investment portfolios, and is a voting member of the Asset Allocation Committee. Andrew is an Invesco senior director and is a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Andrew served as a vice president and portfolio manager at Alpha Advisors, Inc., where he was responsible for managing taxable and tax-exempt portfolios. Andrew also served as an assistant vice president with the Chicago Corporation, where he participated in the management of balanced assets for high-net-worth individuals, foundations, endowments, and retirement plans. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Management in finance and economics from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University. Andrew is a member of the CFA® Institute, the Los Angeles CFA® Society, and holds the CFA® designation.

Hillary R. McNeill
Managing Director
As Head of Equity Trading, Hillary McNeill is responsible for all trading for Atlantic Trust's equities and convertible bond portfolios.  She is also an Associate Partner of Invesco. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, she served as Registered Representative for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette's Corporate Services Group. In this role, she was responsible for executing orders for high net worth clients and money managers, preparing legal opinions for legal counsel and working directly with clients on their requests and inquiries. Before joining DLJ, Hillary served as a Customer Service Coordinator at Bidwell & Company handling all new accounts and trading.  She earned her BS from Oregon State University. Additionally, Hillary is a member of the Boston Securities Traders Association, Board Member / Treasurer of the MORE Foundation and a Board Member of the Friends of the Astoria Column in Astoria, Oregon.

Paul M. McPheeters, CFA
Managing Director
Paul McPheeters is Manager of the Energy Master Limited Partnership (MLP) Strategy and Co-Manager for Atlantic Trust’s Equity Income Portfolio. Paul played a key role in developing the investment strategy for both offerings. He spent two and one half years as the Co-Manager of the Atlantic Trust’s Large-Cap Growth portfolio before the inception of the MLP and Equity Income strategies in 2003. Paul’s other investment experience at Atlantic Trust includes providing research and analysis on the energy, telecommunications, and media sectors. Additionally, Paul is an Associate Partner of Invesco. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1997, he was a Senior Analyst in the Valuation Services Group’s Energy Practice at Price Waterhouse, LLP, performing business valuations for mergers and acquisitions, tax strategies, privatizations, and various legal purposes. Paul earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Andrew G. Nichols
Managing Director
Andrew Nichols is a senior client relationship manager with more than 25 years of experience in helping high-net-worth families with their wealth management objectives. In addition to advising clients, Andrew’s primary responsibilities include overseeing client servicing and fiduciary administration for the firm’s Baltimore office. Andrew is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Andrew headed the Family Office Group at the Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University, a Master of Science Administration from Georgia College, and a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University. Andrew is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

J. Kent Nossaman, Jr.
Managing Director
Kent Nossaman is a Senior Client Relationship Manager with 18 years of professional experience providing sophisticated income, gift and estate tax consulting and financial planning services to business owners, corporate executives, professional athletes and families. He advises clients in the development, implementation and monitoring of customized wealth management solutions. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2005, Kent was a Managing Director of Harris myCFO. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council, the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a BA in Economics and Business from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Donald C. Ogle, CFA
Managing Director
Don Ogle is a Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager with extensive capital markets experience, including equity fund management. Don joined Atlantic Trust in 2004 from Mellon Private Wealth Management where he served as Director of Portfolio Management in the Denver office. Previously, he directed state investment activities for Wells Fargo in Colorado and Bank One Investment Advisors in Colorado and Kentucky. Don earned a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign and an MS in Taxation from Colorado State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.

Jay Pearlstein, CFA
Managing Director
Jay Pearlstein is a Senior Portfolio and Client Relationship Manager responsible for providing in-depth analytical equity research on a number of industries, including retail and consumer products. Jay is also Co-Manager of the firm’s Mid-Cap Growth Portfolio and a Partner of Invesco. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1996, Jay was Vice President of the Equity Research Department and a member of the Investment Policy Committee at Loomis, Sayles & Co. Previously he was a Senior Auditor for Coopers & Lybrand. Jay’s background gives him insight into the compilation of financial data and aids him in his analysis of mid-size companies. Jay currently serves on the Executive Board of Temple Israel of Natick. He earned his BA, with High Honor, in Accounting, from Michigan State University and received the Board of Trustees’ Award for graduating first in his class. He also earned an MBA, with Distinction, from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. Jay earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Certified Public Accountant designations.

Kenneth G. Pollard, CFA, CIC

Ken Pollard is a team executive and co-manager of the Chicago office for Atlantic Trust. In this role, Ken is responsible for the supervision of client portfolios, including pension and profit sharing plans, endowment funds, charitable and religious organizations, individuals, trusts, and foundations. He also serves as an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Indiana University-Bloomington and an Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ken holds the CFA® and Chartered Investment Counselor designations. He is a member of the CFA® Institute, the Investment Analyst Society of Chicago, and the Chicago Council of Foreign Relations Young Leaders program.

S. Mark Powell
Managing Director
Mark Powell heads our Austin office and has been instrumental in establishing our presence in Texas since he joined the firm in 2002. In addition to his regional development responsibilities, Mark works to deliver to clients the pooled expertise of our dedicated interdisciplinary team of advisors. He has more than 20 years of experience in economic analysis and the securities markets, with specific expertise in fixed income portfolio management. Mark is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Before joining Atlantic Trust, Mark was most recently a managing director with Morgan Keegan & Company. In this role, he led Morgan’s asset management efforts in Texas, including the acquisition of Hester Capital Management in 1997. Earlier in his career, Mark developed investment policy and strategy for clients of Capitol Securities, a regional institutional fixed income brokerage firm headquartered in Austin. As a partner at Capitol, he was instrumental in leading the firm’s expansion into new products, services, and markets, which ultimately led to its acquisition by Morgan Keegan in 1993. Mark is actively involved with numerous charitable organizations including Children’s Medical Center (Leadership Committee); YMCA of Austin (past treasurer); the Medical Institute (Development Council); MM Foundation (trustee); and Young Life (chairman, Greater Austin Development Board). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Baylor University in 1981.

Eric B. Propper, CFA

Eric Propper is the team executive of the Atlantic Trust office in New York. In this role, he is responsible for managing a team of nine investment professionals and their support staff. Eric also serves as a portfolio manager overseeing a broad range of client portfolios, including pension and profit sharing plans, endowment funds, charitable and religious organizations, individuals, trusts, and other taxable investment portfolios. He is a member of Atlantic Trust’s Executive Management Committee, the Asset Allocation Committee, and the Multi-Manager Investment Committee. Eric also is an Invesco managing director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Eric joined Atlantic Trust in 1998 from J. Bush & Co. Previously, he spent ten years with Shearson Lehman Brothers. Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He holds the CFA® designation and is a member of the Stamford Society of Security Analysts. Eric has served as a trustee for the Long Wharf theatre in New Haven, CT, and is active in alumni fundraising for the Choate School.

Gary E. Pzegeo, CFA

Gary Pzegeo joined Atlantic Trust in 2007 as head of our Fixed Income team where he focuses on portfolio management, trading, policy formulation and client service. Gary began his career at Evergreen Investments in 1990 functioning as Managing Director and head of the investment grade bond team performing portfolio management, credit and securitized market analysis and taxable and municipal cash management. Subsequently he was with Gannett, Welsh & Kotler as a Vice President, Portfolio Manager and head of taxable bonds where he created and implemented a disciplined investment process, credit and account analysis tools and developed customized fixed income products for the high net worth client base. Gary joins AT from recurrent employment at Evergreen Investments where he functioned as Senior Portfolio Specialist and Senior Portfolio Manager of high yield bonds where he was responsible for developing macro portfolio themes and enhancing the risk management and security selection process for high yield and multi-sector fixed income disciplines while providing sales and client service support. Gary earned his Bachelors in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Massachusetts. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® Designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Thomas N. Riley, CFA
Managing Director
Tom Riley is a senior portfolio and client relationship manager providing comprehensive investment and wealth planning expertise for families and individuals.  As director of client services, Tom is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the client service teams within Atlantic Trust Boston office. He also is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1993, Tom was a global equity analyst for Scudder, Stevens & Clark, providing in-depth fundamental equity research across a broad range of industries and supporting multiple investment disciplines. Tom is a member of the board of trustees of Babson College as well as a member of the board of trustees for the Cambridge School of Weston, where he serves as treasurer. Tom also serves as a director of the Chaffin Fund, an educational foundation that provides need-based scholarships for college tuition assistance. Tom's professional memberships include the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute. He is involved with numerous community organizations. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration with honors from Babson College and holds the CFA® designation.

Judith Saxe
Managing Director
Judith Saxe is a Managing Director and a Wealth Strategist for the Northeast Region, responsible for working with relationship managers and their teams to develop integrated wealth management plans for clients. She joined Atlantic Trust’s Boston office from Ernst & Young LLP, where she was the New England Area Director of Estate and Business Succession Planning. Prior to this time, Judith was an estate planning attorney with the New York law firm Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman. Judith is a frequent lecturer on estate planning topics and has served as Chair of numerous MCLE seminars, including Estate Planning Opportunities in a Volatile Market, Understanding Trusts, Foreign Trusts and International Estate Planning and Estate Planning for Entrepreneurs of Emerging Businesses. Judith is a contributor to MCLE’s Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Massachusetts and Drafting Irrevocable Trusts. She is a member of the Committee of Professional Advisors for the Boston Foundation, the Executive Committee of the Boston Estate Planning Council and other professional and community organizations. Judith earned an AB from Harvard University and a JD from New York University School of Law.

Thomas B. Slaughter, CFA

Tom Slaughter is a Senior Relationship Manager and Client Service Professional based in New York . Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, he was a Senior Advisor and Portfolio Manager with Whitehall Asset Management. Tom founded Delphi Asset Management in 1980 which was subsequently acquired by IBJ Whitehall Bank and Trust in 1998. Tom has also held positions as an Executive Vice President and Director of Lehman Management Company and as a General Partner of Kuhn Loeb. In addition, Tom is the current President of the Board of Trustees of the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. Tom earned a BS from the University of Virginia. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

James H. Stacke, CIC

Jim Stacke joined Atlantic Trust, formerly Stein Roe Investment Counsel (SRIC), in 1968 as a Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for providing wealth counseling services to a broad base of high net worth private clients through the implementation of tailored wealth management solutions. Jim is also an Associate Partner of Invesco bringing 39 years of industry experience to the firm. He earned his BS from Yale University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. Jim is a board member of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, serving on the Investment Committee. He holds a Chartered Investment Counselor designations and is a member of the Investment Advisor Association and the CFA Institute.

Lynn D. Trimby, CFA

Lynn Trimby is a Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager with nearly thirty years experience assisting high net worth families and non-profit organizations achieve their financial and wealth management objectives. She is also an Associate Partner of Invesco. As a Relationship Manager, Lynn focuses on providing a broad range of sophisticated wealth management services and on creating and implementing strategies to help clients reach their financial goals. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1998, she provided investment services and financial solutions to families and non-profit organizations at BankBoston’s Private Bank, at Bank of New England and at Wellington Management Company. Lynn holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation, is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, the CFA Institute, and a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council. She is active in the community, serving as the Chair of the Investment Committee of the Massachusetts Council of Churches, a member of the Board of Directors of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled, and Treasurer and Trustee of the East Sudbury Ministerial Fund at First Parish in Wayland. Lynn earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her graduate degree in Finance with Honors from Boston University.

Frederick L. Weiss, CFA

Fred Weiss is a Senior Investment Professional and leads the research efforts of the firm’s investment team. Fred is also Co-Manager of the firm’s Large-Cap Growth, Mid-Cap Growth, and Atlantic Whitehall Growth Portfolios. He is responsible for researching the technology and health care sectors of the market. Additionally, Fred is a Partner of Invesco. He came to Atlantic Trust in 1989 from Adams, Harkness & Hill, where he was a Vice President and Senior Analyst covering the technology and health care sectors. Fred has been recognized for his work by Institutional Investor Magazine in their rating of national buy-side research professionals. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and of the Healthcare, Technology, and Chemicals Analysts Societies. Fred is also a member of the DeCordova Museum’s Business Council and serves on the Board of Trustees at the Cambridge School of Weston. Fred’s involvement in the investment community complements his extensive experience in securities analysis and research. He earned an AB from Harvard College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and an MBA, with Honors, from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. Fred holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
