Karen M. Bergert
Senior Vice President
Karen Bergert is an associate relationship manager and trust
administrator in the Denver office with more than 28 years
experience in the trust and investment management business.
Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 1999, she served as a
vice president at Norwest Bank Colorado. Karen's career
with Norwest began in 1971 and focused primarily on personal
trust, investment management, and fiduciary services. She
has attended the National Trust School at Northwestern University
and the Cannon Financial Institute.
Cary R. Chapman, CFA
Senior Vice President
Cary Chapman is a senior investment professional and client
relationship manager with over 15 years of professional
experience creating complex, customized portfolio solutions
for clients. He also is an Invesco director. Cary joined
Atlantic Trust from Rocky Mountain Wealth advisors, LLC,
which he established as a new registered investment advisory
firm servicing foundations, endowments, and high-net-worth
individuals and families. Prior to this position, he directed
the due diligence and manager selection process for Curian
Capital, LLC, a Colorado-based registered investment advisor.
Cary currently serves as the board president of a 400-unit
Denver housing community for the aging. Cary earned his
Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and his
Master of Business Administration from the University of
Michigan. He is also a member of the Denver Society of Security
Analysts and is a CFA® charterholder.
Wanda G. Colburn
Managing Director
Wanda Colburn is a senior client development professional
and an Invesco director, leading the business development,
marketing, and public relations initiatives for Atlantic
Trusts Denver office. Wanda has more than 25 years
of experience in meeting the investment management, trust,
and estate needs of high-net-worth families. Before joining
Atlantic Trust in 2001, she was with Mellon Private Asset
Management, where she was responsible for new client development
in their Denver office. Prior to Mellon, Wanda spent 12
years with Norwest Investment Management and Trust developing
private client business in the Colorado region. Wanda serves
as a board member of Colorado Uplift. She is currently a
member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council and
served as past president of the Denver Estate Planning Council
and the American Lung Association of Colorado. Wanda earned
a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University graduating
cum laude with university honors and is a graduate of the
Graduate Institute of Marketing at Louisiana State University.
H. Arthur Graper, CPA, CFP®
Senior Vice President
Art Graper is a relationship manager and an Invesco director
advising clients in the development, execution, and monitoring
of comprehensive wealth management strategies. Art joined
Atlantic Trust in 2005, with nearly 10 years of experience
working with high-net-worth individuals. Prior to joining
Atlantic Trust, Art was a principal with Harris myCFO, Inc.,
where he provided coordinated services in investment advisory,
tax planning, and compliance, estate planning and implementation,
philanthropic counseling, expense management, and reporting
and risk management. Art is a certified public accountant
and a CFP professional. He is a member of the Rocky
Mountain Estate Planning Council and is a board member and
treasurer of the Denver affiliate of the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Science
from Colorado State University, graduating cum laude with
university honors, and earned a Masters in Taxation from
the University of Denver.
Richard A. Havey, CFA
Managing Director
Dick Havey is a senior investment professional and relationship
manager with strong experience in equity analysis, as well
as money market, fixed-income, and balanced portfolio management.
He is an Invesco senior director and a member of the Invesco
Leadership Group. Dick joined Atlantic Trust in 1999, coming
from Norwest Investment Management & Trust. At Norwest,
Dick was a senior portfolio manager for nearly 15 years.
He began his career with Marine Bank, serving as a portfolio
manager and equity analyst. Dick is a past president and
director of the CFA® Society of Colorado and a member
of the CFA® Institute. He earned his Bachelor of Science
in finance at the University of Illinois at Champaign and
is a CFA® charterholder.
Paul M. McPheeters, CFA
Managing Director
Paul McPheeters is manager of the Energy Master Limited
Partnership (MLP) Fund LLC and co-manager for Atlantic Trusts
Equity Income portfolio. Paul played a key role in developing
the investment strategy for both offerings. He spent two-and-one-half
years as the co-manager of the Atlantic Trusts Large-Cap
Growth Portfolio before the inception of the MLP and equity
income strategies in 2003. Pauls other investment
experience at Atlantic Trust includes providing research
and analysis on the energy, telecommunications, and media
sectors. Additionally, Paul is an Invesco senior director
and a member of the Invesco Leadership Group. Prior to joining
Atlantic Trust in 1997, he was a senior analyst in the valuation
services groups energy practice at Price Waterhouse,
LLP, performing business valuations for mergers and acquisitions,
tax strategies, privatizations, and various legal purposes.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering
from the Colorado School of Mines. He also holds the CFA®
designation.
J. Kent Nossaman, Jr.
Managing Director
Kent Nossaman is a senior client relationship manager and
an Invesco director with 20 years of professional experience
providing sophisticated income, gift and estate tax consulting,
and financial planning services to business owners, corporate
executives, professional athletes, and families. He advises
clients in the development, implementation, and monitoring
of customized wealth management solutions. Prior to joining
Atlantic Trust in 2005, Kent was a managing director of
Harris myCFO. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate
Planning Council, the American Society of Certified Public
Accountants, and the Colorado Society of Certified Public
Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and
business from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Donald C. Ogle, CFA
Managing Director
Don Ogle is a senior relationship manager and an Invesco
director with extensive capital markets experience, including
equity fund management. Don joined Atlantic Trust in 2004
from Mellon Private Wealth Management, where he served as
director of portfolio management in the Denver office. Previously,
he directed state investment activities for Wells Fargo
in Colorado and Bank One Investment Advisors in Colorado
and Kentucky. Don earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics
from the University of Illinois at Champaign and an Master
of Science in taxation from Colorado State University. He
is a CFA® charterholder and a certified public accountant.
